The Initial Game Pass Games of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.
In numerous discussions, enthusiasts continue to ring the knell for the green team. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a relatively obscure console. Xbox fan sites are now publishing content regarding Sony's platform as a new development. Last year proved to be a period of total upheaval for the Xbox ecosystem. But if we're going solely off the titles headed to the service in 2026, it's evident that Xbox continues to plan to draw people in with compelling titles on its key platform.
The Available Now Titles
The two games currently accessible at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass soon that's worth getting excited about.
Major Titles on the Horizon
Starting January 13th, Game Pass will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that deviates from conventional open-world tropes with a space-faring criminal escapade. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "a superb mixture of frights and fights."
Intriguing Niche Additions
But even the smaller games coming to Game Pass soon are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike that is incredibly fun, drops on Jan. 7th — and you should try it whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.
This UK-developed survival title from last year could captivate you remarkably quickly.
Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the makers of Sniper Elite, is another one to watch. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.
A Robust Selection of Games
In summary, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, and they don't represent massive exclusive blockbusters that justify the service alone. Yet, this selection are rock solid. The lineup provides a solid mix of older titles you may have skipped and new-ish games that lacked the recognition they were due initially — transforming them into excellent choices to experience a revival on Game Pass.
You might need to brace yourself to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
