Helicopter Spins Wildly into Palm Fronds at Frequented California Beach
A chopper flying over a popular California shoreline abruptly commenced twirling out of control, finally dropping height and plunging into a line of palm groves as onlookers watched.
Footage uploaded on the internet depict the chopper starting to spin above Huntington Beach then falling in the direction of the perimeter of the beach, where it ends up lodged between palms and a set of stairs close to the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Details
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five people were transported to a medical facility involving a pair who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” after the incident on that day.
Three individuals on the street were injured. Information on their wounds were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
